Jubilee! showgirls lining the red carpet at Planet Hollywood to welcome Cee Lo Green to Las Vegas for his new show Loberace!  Cee Lo said “heya beautiful” to me and I said “hii”.  He told all of us that we were gorgeous and “should get back on the back of his truck.” Lol.

Loberace opens tonight Feb 27th at Planet Hollywood!  We aren’t in the show, but I hope we get to go see it!

My behind the scenes video of the event:

Flash Floods in the Dressing Room!

A huge thunderclap woke me up today at 1pm in Las Vegas.  Crazy monsoon weather all day long and I got a text message from my friends saying that the dressing room at the show was flooded!  It was quite an entertaining day at Jubilee.  As you can see from the photos, water was everywhere.  This was hours after the FREAKING WALL BURST sending water gushing out of the wall down the dressing room soaking everything on the floor. But the costumes were saved, SAVED!!!!

Water filling light fixtures and dripping from the floor above.  I believe there are stairs right above there, but not even stairs to the outdoors; these are stairs UNDER a three story building, on top of us, in the basement.  Weird.  And gross.  Smelly gross.

Not a great photo, but the wall cracked and caved out because of crazy water pressure.  Flash floods in Nevada are no joke!  It rains down hard and fast and our 30 something year old building cannot handle it.  20120912-021800.jpgJust your runathemill leak in the basement ceiling….. -_- BASEMENT ceiling…like…where did it come from to get all the way down here?!

All our crap rescued from the floor drying on our stations.  And my safe and sound Louis Vuitton.  (Not harmed in the flooding of the dressing room.  Whew!)20120912-021849.jpgAnd Nicole demonstrating how loving and caring she is about her fellow cast members and how important it is to de-mold your walls post flooding.  🙂  Thanks, Nicole!

Jubilee! Cast Goes to See Phantom of the Opera!

Part Four of my most awesomest week ever: Phantom!  The show was incredible!  When the chandelier came to life in the beginning of the show and the famous organ music started I was fighting back tears!  It’s a breath taking theater with ornate gold design and red velvet box seats.  The show was amazing!

Julie and I on the Phantom stage in our twinsie dresses.  Where we were born to be! 😉  Thanks to Julie being BFF’s with some of the Phantom cast, we got to go BACKSTAGE!

We were a little excited.  I loved meeting some of the Phantom cast members and seeing their backstage and dressing rooms.  They have an ELEVATOR which needs to be installed in our Jubilee! theater pronto!  I would love to avoid the 1,010 stairs i have to climb every day! 😀 (bats eyelashes)

Showgirls!  Phantom was great and all, but I especially loved the part when we were backstage and some random people on a tour saw we were the showgirls from Jubilee! and asked us to take a picture with them!  Hahah so famous!  Even at Phantom! 😮

Gorgeous staircase from the Masquerade scene up close and personal because we are Jubilee! VIP!!!!!

Me and the very handsome Andrew who has been in the show for 4 1/2 years and plays Raoul!  He has the most beautiful voice!  And he’s just beautiful also.  😉  I had a fabulous time!!

Vegas Tip #123:  See this show before it leaves Vegas in September!  The Phantom theater at The Venetian Hotel was built FOR this show which makes it infinitely more fantastic.  What they’re saying is true: you will never see it like this again!  The chandelier scenes are awesome and the whole atmosphere of the theater is brilliant, which you can’t experience in Newark, New Jersey or even L.A.  Plus, the singing is to die for!  Go see it!

Bob Mackie Designs

While we’re on the subject of fashion…..just because this is supposed to be a fashion blog….as well as a whatever-I-want-it-to-be-blog….lets talk some more about my show’s FASHION STATEMENTS!

Lordy lordy! Dont get me started!  This is an original sketch by Bob Mackie, Jubilee’s costume designer.  This one happens to be the outfit I get to wear everyday!  Just another day at the office!  NOT!

How incredible is this?  She is just beautiful.  I hope that I can live up to Mr. Mackie’s standards.  Here I am pigging out on a whole bag of chocolate chip cookies when Im supposed to look like this stick of a woman!  😉

Well anyways, here I am in Jubilee’s green finale costume “The Swirl.”

Ahmazing.  Dripping in jewels.  Every girls dream, am I right?

Marylou and Ashley were my first audience guests ever.  I am so happy they made it out to Vegas to watch me in the show!  And if you havn’t figured it out by now, yes, the show is mostly topless.  But I love it!  The show is absolutely beautiful.  Come see Jubilee!  at Bally’s Las Vegas!

Jubilee! Rehearsals: Day Two

Don’t think I have any photos from today, but it’ll just be a quick update.

At 1:45pm I had a wig fitting.

Had a second four hour rehearsal today from 2-6pm and learned two more numbers for a total of three.  Feeling very honored and special to be learning the numbers one on one from a real showgirl.  My dance captain is the epitome of awesome.  She’s been in the show for five years and knows every spot.  Insane!  The dance numbers are so cool.  This show is really fun and I cant wait for y’all to come see it!  I can’t wait till I know everything like the back of my hand.  Learning and keeping it in my brain is the tough part.

After 4 hours of rehearsals. Went to do costume fittings.  I tried on the most amazing outfits in the entire world today.  Dripping in diamonds, jewels, feathers and sequins.  I felt like the luckiest girl.  Got fitted for about 6 costumes and hats and headpieces.  Bob Mackie is the costume designer with all the original designs and costumes in the show from years and years ago.  Finale is the craziest outfit spanning about 5 feet wide of feathers.  😮  Can’t wait to be in the show!

Tomorrow I have morning rehearsals at 10am, watch the show at 7:30pm, then more rehearsing on stage in between shows at 10pm.

Till tomorrow!  TIme to get some much needed sleep!

PS: Also want to mention that THIS blog post actually happened.  Yay!

Cirque du Soleil – Iris

Sunday I went to see Cirque du Soleil’s “Iris” with my aunt and uncle at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.  This new show has a permanent home at the Kodak until December.  OMG…the show was AMAZING!!!!!  Cirque is always phenomenal…but I LOVED it!!  They mix vintage circus looks like leather corsets and garter belts with cinema and Hollywood.  All my favorite things!  The set is gorgeous and everything moves because of the video screens.  I can’t say enough good things about it, just go see it!  The aerialists are amazing and the comedy bits are very funny.  I am planning on going at least 5 more times…ahahahha. I auditioned for this show and made one cut for dance! hehe.  I’m very proud of that.  Go see it!

A Night at the Moulin Rouge

Saturday night Michael and I attended “A Night at the Moulin Rouge” at the Hollywood Bowl with tickets I won courtesy of Answers4Dancers.com!  The show was great, especially the can-can dancers.  The first half of the show was great music by famous french composers and Gershwin’s “An American in Paris.”  The second half a group called Paris Combo performed and their lead singer was a funny french girl.  FINALLY during the last number the Moulin Rouge can-can dancers came on and they were amazing.  The audience loved it.  The fireworks finale was very exciting as well!! I was really excited to go to the Hollywood Bowl because I had never been before, but the shuttle was awful and it was super cold out with my 100 layers and a blanket.  I dunno if I’ll go back.  I definitely would LOVE to go to Paris and see the show at the Moulin Rouge though.  I think it would be phenomenal!  Needless to say, I loved the dancing way more than watching the orchestra, but that’s to be expected being a dancer I suppose! :p
