California State University Long Beach, Class of 2011

Wooohoooo!!!! I’m done with college!  Graduation day was amazing and I had such a great time!!  Walking down the procession line got me a little teary eyed.  Also giving my dad a hug after my ceremony was a real tear-jerker.  :p  I’m so happy I got to sit with my friends at graduation and then celebrate after, and also the next day, and the next.  hehe!  The free time is amazing and I am looking forward to sleeping in and doing nothing.  Thank you so much to everyone for your well wishes, sweet cards, and gifts.  Thank you to my boyfriend Michael for coming to all of my celebrations and taking lots of pictures.  Thanks to my sister for the Lady Gaga CD and coming to my ceremony.  Most of all, thank you to my parents who paid for my college education.  WOW!  That is the biggest gift I could ever ask for.  I love you both very much.  🙂

Bye bye, CSULB!

GRADUATION

I can’t believe I am graduating from college tomorrow.  The next time I will post I will be a graduate! Woo hoo!!  I have been waiting and praying for this day since day 1.  I really have enjoyed pushed through the past four years.  Don’t get me wrong, I still had tons of fun outside of class with Leanna (above) and lots of other friends.  I would just prefer to have fun without all the essays, tests, and nasty teachers.  No, my teachers were cool.  Some of them.  My favorite quote from Bruce Lansky’s book No More Homework! No more tests!  is:

“No more pencils!
No more books!
No more teachers’
dirty looks!”

I think about this every summer, but now it really applies.  Hooray!  I’m graduating Cum Laude from California State University Long Beach with an overall GPA of 3.5 and a 3.8 GPA for this semester.  Couldn’t quite hit a 4.0 three times in a row.  Honestly, Journalism 110 was a killer!  I was thinking, “PUHLEEZE just give me a B! I will be so happy!” So, I am happy.

Tomorrow will be very exciting and I hope it all goes smoothly! I can’t wait! Feelin’ good, feelin’ fine, feelin’ fresh.  CSULB COMMENCEMENT, HERE WE COME!!!!!

Burn Out

Got this white burn out tee at Foreign Exchange the other day.  I love its see-thru-ness and the back is extra long with see-thru stripes.  I’m wearing my Steve Madden lace up booties and Ray Ban sunglasses.  Tomorrow I have my last day of finals EVER!  You guys don’t understand how I excited I am.  Finally I’ll be done with writing papers and can focus on my dance career.  Who knows if I’ll get one, but I really want to try with my heart of hearts.  I’m all signed up for unlimited classes at my studio which is awesome.  Can’t wait for three hours of exercise tonight.

Hot Pink

Today I am studying hard for finals (as you can see) and also going to work.  Tonight I am planning on reading four chapters of from my journalism book.  I will be pulling an all-nighter, I can see it now.  However, I’m still going to jazz class tonight.  I have to keep in mind my dance goals as well! I bought this tee yesterday from Foreign Exchange.  It is super cute with a small front pocket.  The back has a V shape.  Shoes are Jessica Simpson and my new Ray Ban sunglasses!

Cute Stuff – New Ray Ban Glasses

Happy February, dearest readers!  This week I picked up my new glasses!  My final decision was the Ray Ban *New* Wayfarers in Dark Avana.  That’s what the website says anyway.  (Remember I almost got THESE!) I really like them!  I’ve worn them for the past three days straight and don’t mind!  My eyes are so sensitive, I can’t put in contacts earlier than 11am or leave them in for more than 8 hours.  It’s a pain, so I really prefer not wearing contacts.  My problem was I felt UGLY with glasses, but these make me feel CUTE! What do you think?  I feel so smart and stylin’ in them.  :p  Plus, I can see!!!!!!

Back to School – Last First Day

Long story time:

I havn’t been able to do any outfit posts or posts period because I am back at school.  This is my last semester of school FOR LIFE!  I am thrilled.  I never thought this day would come but it is finally here.  In all honesty I hated the first day of college and I will hate the last lol.  Sure it is cool to go hang at Starbucks and type furiously on my laptop.  But I do that blogging anyway!  I do like learning the material but there is so much bureaucracy and learning for a grade that it takes the joy out of it.  Sure, I’ve had a 4.0 for the last year and plan on getting another.  Sure, I like having friends to walk to class with and laugh at our teachers with. But I really just can’t wait to graduate and have no more homework.  I really truly believe that I will score an awesome job and I’ll like it more than college.  Whether it is in PR, film, marketing, or even dancing, I will be a happy person.  I never wanted to go to college.  Don’t get me wrong, I am SO grateful that I did and that I had smart parents to pay for every last cent.  I am grateful for the educational part too; I love being a smart girl.  However, I did want to be a dancer and travel the world, and college kind of made that impossible.

Anywhoo.  I did do some back to school shopping and got some jean shorts from Forever 21.  This is another reason why I want to go back to dance, none of my pants fit!  And I also bought a pair of Converse All Star sneakers.  ME?! In SNEAKERS?! It is unheard of!  I’m really glad I did buy them because this semester I am walking allll over campus, which is huge, and my flats, boots, etc, just KILL!

Thanks Kelsi for giving me the inspiration seen here. And to my sister who has the white high-top version of the shoes I got.

Another stylish wearer of studded converse: Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad

Do YOU own a pair of Converse sneakers???
