Mickey Ears

I am back in the land of Disney workin’ for the mouse.  I am so happy that one of my dreams came true AGAIN! Getting into parades was the best day of my life, and now I get to experience that elation some more!

Training is hours upon hours of information, but this time around I got my Mickey Mouse ears to celebrate!

This week starts my “full time” work Monday thru Friday!  Workin’ hard for the money!  Not really, I get to dance.  It’s super fun.  I never work a day in my life! SO looking forward to making some new friends, Halloween, T-Giving, my 26th birthday (omg), and Christmas!  This time last year I was aboard the Celebrity Century sailing to Hawaii and Mexico. While an amazing experience, being away from family and friends was pretty rough.

It has been so lovely to be able to be home, relaxing, and taking a vacation.  Not working is awesome!  Hope you all are having a wonderful end of May weekend.  🙂 Summer is almost here!   I am hoping to go to Vegas and visit all my darling friends there.  Maybe Canada later on in the year!  Where are you planning on going for vacation?

Beautiful Beaches, Part 1

After looking at some amazing articles on beautiful beaches,(Like these from Thrillist) I decided to post some of my own photos from where I’ve been recently.  Just to remember the warm 85 degree temps, and how tan I was!  Raised in a beach town, I still consider myself more of a pool and resort kinda gal, but after cruising for 5 months, I think I’m even more of a beach snob.  Uh oh! Oh, and this post is kind of long, so I’ll have to post a part 2!

Freeport, Bahamas

Pretty hotel on the beach, warm temps, warm water, but we got caught in rainstorms a couple times.  Meh.

Cococay, Royal Caribbean’s Private Island

‘Nuff said there.  Private island?  Sign me up!  The water is SO warm because it’s only a few feet deep!  Clear water, white sand, and barely anyone there!  Yes.

Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos

The weather was not so much oven hot, but more summer breezy.  At the end of our S.N.U.B.A.ing at 5pm we were a bit chilly!  I prefer my beaches to be HOT, HOT, HOT! Next.

Black Rock Beach, Maui, Hawaii

This place was Le Gorg!  Those clouds made for an amazing sunset and the big rocks made for good snorkeling!  At sunset a Hawaiian warrior runs onto Ka’anapali Beach and lights the torches along the black rock.  He offers high lei to the ancient Hawaiian gods, and takes a head first leap off the cliff into the water.  SO cool!

St. Croix

My FAVORITE beach we went to! We got food and drinks from the beach hut pictured below, and then laid on the beach for hours!  I brought my inner tube and floated around and snorkeled!  A surprising amount of ocean flora and fauna here!

St Maarten

We didn’t get to go to the famous Airport Beach, but that just means I’ll have to go back!  It’s just beautiful!

Our Final Days on the Century

Some random snaps from our last few days on board. Jairus showing off his civil war/Mexican leather hat and lion mask. Me and Lenaya dreading separation. Emily sitting next to buckets catching leaking water from deck 8…? On disembarkation day. And the last cast photo on the Century after our final Dance Around The World.

I met a lot of interesting characters this contract, mostly the SEXY6: Borman: my roomie in Vegas and on the ship. The darnedest, cutest peli rosa from Indiana I ever did see! Please go be the riddle mermaid. Prease. (That’s my Asian accent). Bretty: it’s haaaard being the bees knees 24/7, but you’re nailin it! You are so wonderful and I can’t wait to see you become a star at the Moulin Rouge!!!! Lenage: how many times did you leave me in stitches laughing at your Hongcouver accent? The answer is a bajillion times. I’m going to miss you most of all!!! Jai ho: thanks for being my sarcastic, pessimistic, non-leader needs improvement partner in crime. You certainly left me happy and satisfied after you amazing cross dressing rehearsal performances. Ems: does boobs doe. You are quite a gal. Have fun in that sheepy farm in Israel! I loved shitting it up with you!!! Thanks for a fab contract guys!!!! Xoxo gossip girl

Biking the Golden Gate Bridge!!!

We biked 10 miles today from the wharf across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito!!!! We had such a great day! The weather was amazing 75 degrees and sunny!! After walking around Sausalito we took the ferry back to the wharf and got some fish and chips. Finally ending the day on board the Century in the Persian Gardens Spa tonight was pure “Modern Luxuryyyyyyyy!”

Puerto Rico

A couple of us had a good little breakfast in Puerto Rico followed by souvenir shopping. Emily and I bought more dresses, bikinis (seen below), and accessories that we don’t need of course. We got some Badass Coffee which is a blend of Hawaiian and Puerto Rican coffee frozen? I think. Omg it was badass!!! 😉 Took some photos on the bow of the ship with a good view of the fortress! Pretty neat!
