Beach Days

You know what I hate?  SMALL BEACH TOWELS!  Whoever thought to make a beach towel NOT THE SIZE OF AN ADULT PERSON?!  I don’t get it.  I have a big beach bag for a reason!  hehe  If anyone else is bothered by this predicament as much as me, here is a list of larger than life, well, maybe larger than 5 foot, beach towels!  These are all over 70 inches long, or 6 feet, so hopefully they will be close to getting rid of that terrible sand on calves problem when out catching rays on the beach.  Is anyone else going to purchase an extra large beach towel?

Bed, Bath, and Beyond

La Boulange is Opening in LA!

Guys I am really excited about this upcoming opening because I had SUCH a good experience at La Boulange in San Fran during my many months of travel.  I can’t believe it is coming to my hometown!

This if one of the original La Boulange…es… in San Fran.  We enjoyed a chilly rainy morning with…

BOWLS OF COFFEE!!! I love bowls of coffee!  And mine wasn’t even the large!  Also enjoyable was the amazing croque madame with a fried egg on top of course.  I bought some Hazelnut Jam as seen here, but haven’t used it much… :/

I adore San Fran and will be heading up to check out La Boulange in LA when the long lines die down….so next year?  :p

I hear there is a full restaurant and bar as well as the expected coffee and bakery.  OH and DONT YOU DARE leave the establishment until you’ve got an almond croissant in your hand/mouth.  They’re scrumptious!!

I hope that since this is now a “partner” of Starbucks or something they don’t…mass corporation the shit out of it.  :/  When Starbucks sells their La Boulange items they’re tres terrible.  Well here’s hopin!  Check out their website here.  Oh and you can use your Starbs Gold Card there!  Tres cool!

Friday Funnies…On A Saturday!

OMG I failed again with the Friday Funnies…it was a long and busy day for me today…maybe I need to pick a boring day like a Tuesday.  But nothing is funny about tuesdays…

Anyways Happy Saturday!

The Maya Rudolph Show – HI-larious!  Maya is an amazingly talented woman.  I loved her on SNL and her own debut show was great.  Janelle Monet, I’m a big fan.  Fred Armisen, he is one of my favorite comedians.  All around A+++!

a_610x408 lollll I mean…it’s funny…because it’s true.

Pre order your very own Portlandia Cookbook! Cook like a local! Yes!!

Just finished reading “One More Thing” by BJ Novak.  I am a huge “Office” fan and if you don’t know, BJ is one of the actors and writers on the show.  The book was cute.  A little bit incessant at times with the hilarious modern banter of the LA County, but still some funny stories in there.

Finally This tumblr tracks which cool/maybe not so cool New York establishments have now turned into a fucking froyo place.  lol.  It’s funny…cuz its sad. :p Now I want Golden Spoon…

Downtown Street Fair

Sometimes Fiona, my dad, and I grace the Tuesday night Downtown HB Street Fair with our presence.  haha  I actually do like the street fair because I love street food!  I can’t leave the event without a deeply friend churro!  This happened to be an exceptionally warm evening and we had such a good time walking around and listening to the various street performers sing! I wore the cutest little romper ever my friend Lucie gave me from Australia!  Fiona wore my shrunken dress from Urban Outfitters.  hehe  Good ol’ California!

Vintage Flower Dress

Picked up this dress from American Vintage (where my sis used to work) on Main St. in Downtown Huntington Beach.  It is a vintage piece maybe from 1950s?  I love the collar, sleeves, and nice knee length skirt.  I’m so sick of tank tops and short dresses.  Gimmie those vintage dresses any day!  I paired it with brown and gold accessories, leopard sunnies from the Bahamas, and my classic Louis Vuitton.

Ever since I got my complimentary MAC Pro card from being a showgirl in Jubilee!, I was hooked.  I LOVE MAC LIPSTICK!  MAC just does it right.  I have been wearing the Studio Fix powder since high school, then the foundation since I was in Disneyland, then after I got free products at Jubilee!, and the wonderful 35% off with a free Pro card, I am all about the lipsticks.  I have about 6 or 7 and want more!  Most of them are variations of pink, but hello, pink lipstick is da bomb.  They’re quite expensive at $16 a pop, but it doesn’t stop me.  I am running out of my favorite color of all time, the Viva Glam Gaga Lustre, which was a limited edition.  I’ve got to find something to replace it!  Colorful MAC lipstick is my “outfit completer.”  What is your “outfit topper” beauty product that makes your day?
